April 24, 2026 As part of the nationwide America 250 celebrations, the Worthington Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution hosted a ‘Liberty Tree’ dedication held at East Granville Road Park in Worthington, OH.
A White Oak—a species native to Ohio—was planted as a ‘Liberty Tree’ to commemorate the sacrifices of Revolutionary War Patriots who fought for America’s independence.

Attending were Sue Funk, Regent, Worthington Chapter DAR; Worthington Chapter members: Judy Goodykoontz, Marcia Boucher, 1st Vice Regent, Linda Akkari; Kevin T Donahue, Camp Charlotte Chapter, SAR; Carl Speckman, Benjamin Franklin Chapter, SAR; Joyce Brand, Worthington Chapter DAR

This year State Conference was held at the Hilton Garden Inn at Austin Landings in Miamisburg Ohio May 2^nd through the 4th. This was a very busy Conference with a Friday Social, Youth awards Luncheon and Awards dinner and with the swearing in of the new officers on Sunday.  Many awards were given out and our Camp Charlotte chapter President, Secretary and Vice president receiving various awards. Though our secretary and 1^st Vice President were not in attendance the awards given at the May Camp Charlotte chapter meeting.

A few of the Camp Charlotte members were in attendance Kevin Driesbach presented the National Society SAR with a gift of the book he wrote, “Pickaway Patriots”. Tony Robinson presented a monetary gift to the SAR Library from the Camp Charlotte Chapter. With the Leadership Choir with 3 Ohio singers: Tony Robinson, Steve Hinson, and Jack Bredenforder attending.
