April 19th Camp Charlotte Chapter SAR with the assistance of the Hocking Valley chapter , Centennial Chapter, Arthur St. Clair Chapter and 1st Vice President OHSSAR Doug Pettit attended the Grave Marking of George Rupert the grave located in the Sugar Creek Baptist Cemetery in Washington Court house is located on a little hill over looking state route 35 this is an old cemetery with many headstone weathered by many years of the various seasons. The weather was bright and sunny but the wind was pretty blustery making temperatures feel quite chilly. The 8th PA regiment was nearby and decided to help out with some of the ceremonies which for a Re-enacting group added a nice touch to the event. This event also was a dedication of one of many Pomeroy Foundation signs that will be placed across Ohio marking cemeteries that have Patriots from the American Revolution.
